There are three ways to set up classes and student accounts on Dr Frost Maths. The right method depends on how your school manages its data, and in some cases, the decision may already have been made for you at school level.
Use the guide below to find your situation, then follow the link to the relevant step-by-step article.
Does your school use an MIS (Management Information System)?
If your school uses a system like Arbor, Bromcom, SIMS, or iSAMS to manage student and class data, you may be able to sync this with Dr Frost Maths using Wonde. This is the recommended approach for most schools. It saves time, reduces errors, and keeps your class lists up to date automatically.
If you're not sure whether your school uses Wonde, check with your school's data manager or IT administrator. If your school does use Wonde, it's worth setting up the sync before creating any classes. Standard classes (your main teaching groups) will be removed when MIS sync is enabled, though additional classes will be preserved.

Not using MIS sync? Choose your setup method
Option 1: Spreadsheet import (recommended for whole-school or multi-class setup)
If you need to set up classes for multiple year groups or a large number of students, the spreadsheet import is the most efficient method. You download a template, fill in your student and class data, and upload it Dr Frost Maths creates the classes and student accounts in one go.

Option 2: Create a class and invite students (best for a single class or small group)
If you only need to set up one or a small number of classes, you can create them individually and then either share a join link with students or add them manually.

Need an extra group alongside your existing classes?
If your main classes are already set up - whether through MIS sync or another method - and you need to create an additional group such as an intervention set, enrichment group, or after-school club, the process is the same as creating any other class. Simply choose Additional class when prompted for the class type.
