Our Wonde integration allows you to automatically sync student class lists from your school's Management Information System (MIS) into Dr Frost Maths, saving time on manual class creation and student enrolment.
Once connected, Dr Frost automatically syncs with your MIS every night, keeping your classes and student lists up to date without manual work.
Quick overview of the setup process
- Request connection in Settings > MIS Connection
- Wait for your school Wonde admin to approve the connection (they'll need to login to the Wonde portal)
- Return to Settings > MIS Connection to select your maths subjects and activate the sync
- Dr Frost will then sync automatically every night after that

What gets synced
Daily automatic updates:
- Teacher accounts - names, and emails
- Student accounts - names, emails, and year groups
- Classes - class names, and codes
- Class enrolments - which students and teachers belong to which classes
Your MIS is the source of truth. Changes cannot be made directly in Dr Frost, they will need to be made within your MIS and then synced across.
Before you start
Your school needs to be using Wonde
Your school must be connected to Wonde with a data sharing agreement in place. If your school doesn't currently use Wonde, you'll need to set this up first.
Use school email addresses
Your school must have school email addresses for students, and any existing Dr Frost accounts should be set up with these school email addresses. If your school does not have school email addresses, you will not be able to use the Wonde sync and will need to use a different method to create and manage student accounts.
If your school does have school email addresses, but your students' Dr Frost accounts are already set up with personal emails or usernames, the sync process will create duplicates. Consider removing them before syncing, or, if personal email or username accounts are widespread, get in touch with us.
You'll need your Wonde administrator’s help
In Step 4 your school's Wonde administrator will need to approve the connection request in the Wonde portal before the sync can be activated.
Step 1: Go to the Settings page
Select Settings from the user menu (where you see your name in the header bar).
Step 2: Select MIS connection
On the Settings page, under the School section select MIS connection and then click Get started if you are using Wonde for the first time.
Step 3: Enter your Wonde ID and request connection
Please enter your Wonde ID in the box.
Then click the Request connection button.
Need help finding your Wonde ID? Your Wonde ID will have a format similar to A123456789. Speak to your school's Wonde administrator or contact Wonde support.
Step 4: Approve the data access request
This step requires your school's Wonde administrator.
Once you've submitted your connection request, you'll see this screen:
What to do now:
Please contact your school's Wonde administrator - they will need to sign into your school’s Wonde portal to approve Dr Frost's data access request.
You can close this page and return later. Once approved, come back to Settings > MIS Connection to continue.

Step 5: Select the subjects to sync
Once data sharing is approved:
- Return to the Settings page in Dr Frost Maths and select MIS Connection
- You should see a confirmation that your request has been approved
- Click Continue to move to subject selection
In the Configure step we will attempt to pre-select the obvious Mathematics subjects in your MIS, but please scroll through the list and select any others that you want to sync to Dr Frost.
Click Confirm selection when you're happy with your choices.
Step 6: Sync your classes
Read and acknowledge the important note on screen (check the box), then click Activate sync. The initial sync will start immediately.
Step 7: Review sync results
After the initial sync completes, Dr Frost will show you a summary of what was imported and highlight any issues that need addressing.
If you see errors: These indicate problems in your MIS data (like missing or duplicate email addresses) that prevent those students from syncing. Fix these in your MIS and they'll resolve in the next sync.

Click View classes to see your imported classes and students.
Keeping classes up to date once sync is enabled
Dr Frost automatically syncs with your MIS every night, so your classes and student lists stay current without any manual work.
If you have made changes since the last overnight sync and need them reflected immediately, click Sync now to trigger a manual sync.
Getting students logged in
Once your sync is complete, students can log in directly using Google or Microsoft SSO - or will receive an activation email to set up their account.
We strongly recommend setting up SSO for your students - it's more reliable than email-based activation and reduces login support requests significantly.
