Our new Question Grid is a worksheet presentation view designed for whole-class teaching. It displays the questions from a worksheet together in a compact grid, making it easier to present, browse, and work through questions with a class.
How do I open Question Grid?
You can open any worksheet in Question Grid:
- Open the worksheet you want to present.
- Select Open in Question Grid.
The worksheet questions will open in the Question Grid presentation view.
What do the buttons on each question do?
Each question has its own controls for revealing its answer or generating a replacement question.
Show answer - Reveals the answer for that question only
- Hide answer - Hides the answer for that question only
- Regenerate question - Replaces that question with a newly generated question that tests the same subskill
- Full screen - Enlarges the question to a full screen view, the view can be closed by clicking the 'x'
These controls only affect the selected question. This allows you to reveal answers one at a time or generate another example without changing the other questions in the grid.
What do the buttons for the full grid do?
The controls for the full grid apply an action to every question on the grid.
- Show all answers - Reveals the answers to every question in the grid
- Hide all answers - Hides all currently visible answers
- Regenerate all - Replaces every question in the grid with a newly generated question
These controls mean that you can reveal all answers in one go or generate a completely fresh set of examples without needing to go back and edit the worksheet.

Choose a single question to enlarge and work through together, you can still reveal and hide the question's answer from this view
Reveal individual answers as the class works through each question
Use Show all answers when reviewing the complete worksheet
Regenerate individual questions when another example is needed, or regenerate the full grid for a new set of questions
Troubleshooting
If you're having trouble opening Question Grid or regenerating a question, try the following:
- Go back to the worksheet and check that it opens correctly.
- Refresh the page and try opening Question Grid or regenerating the question again.
- Check that your internet connection is working.
