There are a few ways in which you can create a worksheet. It is also possible to create a worksheet template, from which you can generate an endless set of worksheets that will include the same skills (specified by the template). This article takes you through how to initially create the worksheet or template and then how to edit it.
Creating a worksheet or template
Creating a worksheet or template from your home folder
Using the main menu, navigate to the Worksheets page, which will open your home worksheet folder.
From your home worksheet folder, use the button on the top of the page that says + New.
You can select to create a worksheet or a template from the list of options.
From there, you can add exam questions or generated questions from Dr Frost Maths.
Once you've built your worksheet you can save it in your home folder and use it as a task or download for use offline.
Creating a worksheet or template from the question explorer
From the menu, navigate to the Question Explorer page.
Choose the course you would like to select skills from (or the All Skills course) on the left hand side of the page.
Select the skills you want to include in your worksheet; you can add skills from different units and modules. Your selection on the top right-hand side will state the skills that will be included in the worksheet. You can use the Example button on any subskill to view an example of the question, and the Browse button on any exam practice to view the selection of exam questions we have available for that topic. Once you have selected the skills, press the Generate Worksheet button.
You can then select how many questions of each skill type you would like to include and whether or not you want to interleave skills.
Click Generate and this will create a template.
Creating a worksheet or template from the Set a Task option
From the main menu, select Set a Task.
You can then choose to set a task by topic or by choosing questions.
If you select Choose questions, your worksheet will be created as a blank slate and you will be able to add Exam Questions or Generated Questions to it.
If you select By Topic, this will take you to the Question Explorer. From here, you can choose the course you would like to select skills from (or the All Skills course) on the left hand side of the page.

Adding and editing questions on a worksheet or template
Once you've created your worksheet or template, you can add and edit questions.
Adding Exam Questions
To add Exam Questions, click the plus sign labelled EXAM QUESTION. Then click to choose an exam question.
This will open up a box where you can browse all our available exam questions.
Click Filter by skill, then select a course and choose a topic. You can also filter by difficulty level and search using keywords. When you have found a question you want, click Use this question.
Adding Generated Questions
To add Generated Questions, click the plus sign labelled GENERATED QUESTION. Then click to choose a generated question.
Select a course, then you can find a question by choosing a topic or by searching for a skill using either the skill name or the skill code (e.g. 341b). You can regenerate the question as many times as you like until you find a question you are happy with, then click Use this.
On a template, each generated question will have a refresh icon, which you can click to generate a new generated question.
Editing the questions
Once you've added a few questions, you can edit the order by dragging the boxes and you can remove any questions you don't need by clicking the X in the corner of each question.
Editing a template
On a template, you can change the skill for each question by clicking on the blue drop down menus.
For exam questions, you can change the exam board, difficulty level, and whether a calculator is required. Each time you click refresh on a question on the worksheet on the right, a new question will come up that matches this criteria.
If you click the blue Generate button on the template, this will refresh all of the questions on the worksheet.
To save the template, go to Save Options on the left and choose whether to Save or Save As. To save the worksheet, click either Save or Save As on the right.
