The Dr Frost support team can enable mandatory Single Sign On (SSO) for your school. This requires all users to sign in with their Google or Microsoft account instead of username and password.
Requesting mandatory SSO
To enable mandatory SSO for your school, email support@drfrost.org with:
- Your request to enable mandatory SSO
- The date you would like this activated
What happens when SSO is enabled
If a user already uses SSO, they won’t notice a difference.
If a user does not already use SSO, there are three potential pathways depending on the nature of their username:
- Username is the same as the email address of their SSO account: they can simply click Login with Google or Login with Microsoft and it will immediately allow them to log in this way.
- Username is an email address that is different to the email address of their SSO account: when they attempt to log in with their password, they will be sent an email with a link. The link will take them to the page shown below, where they can choose to link their account to either Microsoft or Google SSO.
- Username is not an email address: when they attempt to log in with their password, they will be immediately taken to the page shown below, where they can choose to link their account to either Microsoft or Google SSO.
Before requesting SSO activation
To ensure a smooth transition:
Configure SSO access
- Google Workspace for Education: Configure access to the Dr Frost app in your admin console (see Google's help article for guidance)
- Microsoft 365: Ensure Dr Frost Learning is approved in your tenant settings
Without proper SSO configuration, users will see "Error 400" when trying to log in.
Check your email configuration
Ensure @drfrost.org emails are on your school's allow list. Otherwise, users whose email address differs from their SSO email address will not receive the email required to link their account to SSO. See our Email allowlist guide for IT departments.
